Following what is being considered a total shambles of an Olympic halfpipe practice run, there is more bad news for the North American snowboard community. Reuters is reporting the US Snowboard Team has run pretty short of money as a result of the global economic crisis. Sponsors are not fronting enough cash, and it’s doubtful they will make through the remainder of the World Cup season. Bad news for sure, but couldn’t they just do it like the Australians have always done and dig into their own pockets.
