Globe are releasing a shoe to commemorate Occy’s 1999 World Championship title win. The shoe is being released to coincide with Occy’s retirement at Pipe this year. No disrespect to Occy here, the guy is a legend, but isn’t it a little late for this shoe? I mean, great for Occy but it just seems a little like Globe are clutching at straws. What next? Perhaps a shoe to commemorate the graphic designers beating the marketing department at the company Christmas party boccie game? The shoe is a slight change of an existing style from the new range, The Detour, with the above Warhole inspired Occy repeat graphic on the heal.
