Boost KOTR Update

As I mentioned earlier today, POP was asked by Boost Mobile to produce a DVD movie of the Boost King Of The Rail event. So being there to film the event also allowed me to watch it. Just quickly, reserve Adrian Pelly won the longest rail with a 31 metre slide. Ryan Tiene won the ‘Snow Show’ event (basically a mix between a game of SKATE and a slopestyle contest). Now I’m tempted to do a big write up of my perspective of the whole show, but I think you should probably wait for the review in the upcoming 4th issue of POP. Besides, the official press release is funnier than anything I could ever write. Read more for pictures etc.

Why I’m laughing extra hard at this one is because, according to whoever wrote it, ‘Best trick was awarded to Charles Beckinsale who landed a reverse 900 on the Big Air.’ Now I’m guessing a ‘reverse 900’ is supposed to be a switch backside 9 but that’s not what’s got me rolling on the floor in laughter. It’s just that Charles never hit the jump on the night… However, there was some guy dressed in exactly the same clothes as Charles that stomped the shit out of a switch backside 9 first go… But he looked suspiciously like Robbie Walker… Wait for the 4th issue to read the whole hilariously funny story!

P.S. I watermarked these images without Dan Himbrechts permission. I’m just sick of Snowboard Mag ripping my photos off.
