Whilst checking the surf like I do most mornings, I saw a warning for the Mornington Peninsula stating it could potentially be a bit sharky. The Reason… a 22 meter pygmy blue whale was found washed ashore. Pretty amazing since I didn’t even know there were many of things around, period. It is sad to see, however, at least we can take comfort in the fact it was just the one and he didn’t bring twenty of his mates along for the ride. Story and more photos here.
