Sam Winter Signs with Gravis and Analog

Sydney, (16 April 2009) – Today Gravis announced the addition of Australia’s Sammy Winter to the Gravis IV international roster. After the Gravis team’s recent trip down under it became apparent that a certain someone had made quite an impression and Sammy’s name was on the end of everyone’s tongues. His smooth style, big bag of tricks, consistency and remarkable ‘pop’ were just a few things that impressed Gravis Global TM Mark Oblow and team “el capitarno” Arto Saari.

Sam is stoked to be part of something that will see him recognized on a global level with some of the biggest names in skateboarding. “Everyone on the team is so dope and the shoes are fressssshhh!” I’m stoked on the direction of Gravis; everyone on the team is super cool and just being with the crew on that trip was enough for me to make the switch. Gravis are doing some big things in the next few years and it’s going to great being a part of something so massive!”

The excitement of Sam coming onboard is more than a mutual feeling with Mark Oblow sharing “I’m very excited that Sammy Winter is the first Gravis rider signed in Australia. He brings style, skill and above all a great attitude. We are more than excited to have him represent us in Australia. He is a true legend who is joining a legendary team with the likes of Arto Saari, Dylan Rieder, Jake Johnson and Europe’s Javier Mendizabal, Steve Forstner and Dominik Dietrich to form the worldwide conglomerate of Gravis”.

Sammy will also be joining Luke Croker as Australia’s second internationally signed Analog rider. The duo is set to embark on an upcoming Analog trip to Spain.

Australian TM, Sparkes is thrilled to welcome Sammy to the Gravis and Analog family. “We feel he is a perfect fit for Gravis and Analog and can’t wait to see big things from him in the upcoming months”.
