I just got home from a nice little Sunday up at Buller. Even if Buller weren’t ready for it (two small staff buses to shuttle a whole parking lot worth of people up to two ticket sales desks and an unorganised lift que, come’ on!), the snow certainly was! I can’t believe I’m snowboarding at the start of May. Whilst ‘shredding’ was confined to the upper Bourke Street area, it was still a boat load of fun. With the sun out it felt more like late September than May. Dodging rocks, punters and toboganists all in the name of finding something to jib. It always amazes me how keen kids are to do anything but stay on the flats. I saw so many kids lining up to hit little booters they’d made off the side of runs. More photos under the cut.
