Issue 12 Behind The Scenes – Outerwear Shoot

issue12-behind-the-scenes-035

Amie. Can do origami if required.

And finally, here’s a handful of behind the scene shots from the outerwear fashion editorial in issue 12. Our initial idea was to do something involving a high class hotel, being that issue 12 is the Creative’s Issue, but of course we couldn’t afford something that professional. So it was back to the studio for us. Luckily our friends are such great people and stepped in to help out with modeling and styling. Thanks Chris, Megan and Amie. Anyway our scaled down concept was to go with the selective desaturation effect that you see on a lot of digital cameras. The thinking being that it would make the bright colours really pop on the black and white background. That’s why the models skin tones are really dull, they were meant to contrast quite obviously with the outerwear. Unfortunately in the printed version of the magazine, our new printers suck and kinda blew that for me. Ah, how the pre-press dance is fun. Anyway there’s a couple more shots below the cut if you’re interested.
