Dew Hut Jam Rookie Award

The Dew Hut Jam is on this Saturday afternoon and for 2011 they have eleven riders in the running for the Rookie Award. They range from “15-year-old Henry Bessell, through to the likes of 21 year old Nathan Johnstone” and to win they need to go through a three part process. Part one is the public voting section. Hey Guys! Just a quick update on the video comp from Baw Baw. We’ve had a technical hitch with the page but it will be up on Monday so you have a small extension to the deadline if you’re still editing your clip. Australia On X Games Short List

In 2013 X Games are adding four more events to the tour and Australia is one of 21 nations that have met ESPN’s initial qualification guidelines. The other applicants include Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, England, Germany, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United Arab Emirates. 18 of the countries will be attending a two day workshop …

Nike SB’s P. Rod 5 Teaser

Skullycandy IPO – Now Valued At Over Half A Billion

Skullycandy listed on the Nasdaq in the US last night with the stock opening at US$20 a share and rising to US$23.40 and finishing at US$19.86. The public offering raised $188.8 million for the company which now has a total valuation at over half a billion dollars. The company expected to sell 8.33 million shares at $17 to $19 but due to high demand ended up selling 9.44 million shares at $20. The money raised will be …

Street League Arizona went down over the weekend with the finals happening this morning Australian time. The finals came down to a close battle between Nyjah Huston, Chris Cole and Ryan Sheckler but in the end, Huston took out his third consecutive win for the season putting his total winnings for the year (from this contest alone) at over $450,000.
