Snowboard Bandits Caught – A bank robber who disguised himself by wearing snowboard outerwear has been caught in Denver after a traffic cop noticed red dye, from an explosive dye pack, running from a briefcase on the passenger side seat. Michael Jason Martinez, age 39, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, was sentenced last week 10 years in federal prison.

Snowboard Sales Slump in US – The good people of the USA have not got themselves a pimpin’ Prime Minister like us in Australia do. Sure, Obama might be suave, good looking, an incredible basket baller and have achieved a god-like status worldwide. But K-Rudd is slingin mad cash at his peeps allowing us to purchase that new surf, skate or snowboard. Unfortunately, the lack of ‘rain’ in the US has caused snowboard sales to slump 16% year on year according to new data from SIA.

Maloof’s Further Support Skateboarders – The Maloof brothers have, once again, stepped up their support of skaters. They have started the Maloof Skateboarding Assistance Foundation which will help provide insurance and health care for skaters that are injured – this is something which is apparently lacking at the moment. This is in addition to the $450,000 prize pool that the Maloof’s have put up for this years Money Cup in July.

Gay Elephant a Disappointment to Polish Minister – I love anything that upsets conservatives so I laughed a lot when a conservative politician in Poland has expressed his dismay at their Zoo’s acquisition of a gay elephant. Michal Grzes said, “We didn’t pay 37 million zlotys (US$11 million) for the largest elephant house in Europe to have a gay elephant live there.” The elephant, known as Ninio, is still ‘discovering himself’ but has nonetheless been outed by the press.

And Finally – There is no link, no reason, no excuse. Miranda Kerr is amazing and worth her own gallery. Check below the cut for some of her hottest pics.
